Many Omega-3 fatty acid supplements come in a triglyceride form, which means the fatty acid molecules are bound to a glycerol backbone and must be removed by the body before absorption in the GI tract. But not Free Form™. The oil found in Free Form™ Omega-3 Fish Oil for Dogs undergoes a molecular distillation process that removes the glycerol backbone. This results in the fatty acids being freed without the need to be further broken down by the body, saving one step in the absorption process.
