Applying Profender® for cats to your feline friend is simple and convenient. Before applying an Elanco topical product, check the weight range and minimum age on the package to choose the appropriate product for your cat.

Small Cat (2.2-5.5 lbs)
Medium Cat (>5.5-11 lbs)
Large Cat (>11-17.6 lbs)

How to apply Profender® for cats:

Remove tube from package
While holding tube in an upright position, remove the cap from the tube
Turn the cap over and place the other end of the cap onto the tip of the tube
Twist the cap to break the seal and then remove cap from the tube
Part the hair on the back of the cat’s neck at the base of the head, until the skin is visible
To ensure the entire contents of the tube are administered, place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze the entire contents directly onto the skin; lift the tube away from the skin before releasing pressure on the tube

CAUTION: Federal (U.S.A.) law restricts Profender® (emodepside/praziquantel) to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

HUMAN WARNINGS: Not for human use. Keep out of reach of children. Children should not contact application site for twenty-four (24) hours.

PRECAUTIONS: Use with caution in heartworm positive cats. The cats enrolled in the field study were antigen and antibody negative prior to entering the study. In a laboratory study, cats artificially infected with adult heartworms and treated with Profender® Topical Solution had fewer worms recovered than the placebo control group.
