Addressing allergic itch with an effective treatment like Befrena can provide rapid, long-lasting relief to help your bestie feel their best. The journey starts with a conversation with your veterinarian. Our downloadable brochure and Itch Tracker help you bridge the gap between home and the clinic, giving your vet a precise look at your dog's comfort levels so you can work together on a treatment plan that works.
How Befrena is Administered
Befrena is available by prescription only. This injection is administered in-clinic by your veterinarian or a licensed veterinary technician, generally every 6-8 weeks or according to your dog’s individual needs.
Understanding Allergic Itch
Why is my dog itching?
Canine allergic skin disease (atopic dermatitis) is a widespread condition that triggers itching in dogs. Causes range from food and fleas to environmental allergens, with signs that include licking, chewing, rubbing, and scratching.1,2 Left untreated, these behaviors can damage your dog’s skin, putting them at greater risk for infections leading to hot spots and increased inflammation.1,2
